Building and restoring homes for vulnerable populations across Kenya.
A home is more than walls—it's a sanctuary where families can breathe, dream, and grow. At Lifelong Foundation, we're committed to making that sanctuary real for those who've been left exposed.
To provide safe, dignified shelter for vulnerable populations, especially orphans and the elderly, through building new homes and restoring existing ones.
Poverty is the biggest wall—many families earn less than Ksh 200 a day, far too little to afford proper housing when food alone stretches their shillings thin. In urban slums like Kibera, land is scarce and contested, with overcrowding forcing families into shacks squeezed tighter than a fist. Natural disasters strike hard—floods in Kisumu wash away homes, landslides in Murang'a and Maai Mahiu displace many.
We tackle these hurdles with hands-on, heart-led solutions. For Homes of Hope, we scout hot spots like flood-ravaged neighborhoods or the dry plains, working with local leaders to identify families in dire need. We use affordable, sustainable materials—locally sourced bricks, corrugated iron—keeping costs low so we can build more.
Since we began, our work has raised roofs and spirits across Kenya. We've built or restored 15 homes—small but solid shelters now standing proud—giving over 100 people a place to call their own. These homes cut illness—fewer colds, less malaria—because walls and roofs keep the elements out. Communities tell us crime dips too, as stable homes anchor restless youth.

For years, I lived in a leaking mud hut that would flood whenever it rained. At my age, the damp conditions made my arthritis worse. Now, I have a solid roof over my head and dry walls around me. I can sleep peacefully even during the rainy season. This home has given me dignity in my old age.
Your support helps us continue our mission of bringing dignity, hope, and opportunity to communities across Kenya through our Shelter program.
