Supporting health initiatives focusing on Cerebral Palsy and mental wellness across Kenya.
The wellness of a nation is founded on its Health. At Lifelong Foundation, we're committed to making ideal healthcare a reality for those who suffer in silence.
To provide specialized healthcare support for children with Cerebral Palsy and to promote mental health awareness and counseling services throughout Kenya.
In Kenya, an estimated 1 in 300 children lives with Cerebral Palsy, yet most lack access to specialists or equipment. Families face stigma too, with neighbors whispering that a child's condition is a curse, leaving parents ashamed and alone. For mental health, 1 in 4 people grapple with issues, but there is only 0.01 psychiatrists for every 100,000 patients.
Through the Steps of Faith Program, we bring therapy to the doorstep—physiotherapists visit homes, fitting kids with second-hand wheelchairs or custom braces made by local artisans. For mental health, our Lifelong Mental Wellness Program trains community health workers to spot signs of distress, linking people to counselors we've stationed in churches or borrowed schoolrooms.
Over 50 children across Kenya have felt the difference—kids in Kiambu and Nyandarua now roll in wheelchairs we provided, their grins wider. For mental health, we've reached more than 2,000 Kenyans with our work—men who once drank to forget now talk it out, women who hid their tears now lead support circles.

My son is 12 years old and has cerebral palsy. Before joining the Steps of Faith program, I struggled alone, carrying him everywhere. Now he has his own wheelchair, and I've learned exercises to help with his mobility. For the first time in 12 years, my son is able to participate in family activities. The support from other parents in the program has also been a lifeline for me.
Your support helps us continue our mission of bringing dignity, hope, and opportunity to communities across Kenya through our Health program.
